Family-Oriented, Farming Community
This community is a mixture of young families, long time locals and farmers which has created a uniquely-Pemberton vibe. Located just 30 minutes north of Whistler, the authentic agricultural feel combined with ever-growing amenities and stunning views of Mt. Currie all contribute to becoming one of the fastest growing rural communities in Canada. The town recently added a new community centre that features a library, fitness centre and meeting rooms.
Most Pemberton residents like to divide their time between the many activities in the area – it’s a backcountry haven. The scenic community of Pemberton is only a short 30-minute drive from Whistler Village. Properties here have a distinct frontier style with a range of cafes, eateries, shops. Both the elementary and high school are in this area along with the community center, skate park, BMX track and community barn. With a mix of commercial space, multi-family complexes and single family homes, downtown Pemberton is center of it all.
The Glen is regularly voted Pemberton’s most popular neighbourhood. Located just off Highway 99 and connected to Pemberton’s downtown core through a variety of pedestrian trails, The Glen primarily offers single family dwellings on large, flat lots as well as a few townhome options. The family oriented area has a great park and easy access to schools, shops, and amenities.
Perched high above the floodplain, the Benchlands is a relatively new neighbourhood. The winding roads and higher altitude provide some of the best views of Mt. Currie and the surrounding valley. Prospective buyers will find a selection of single family homes.
