April 2020 Month-End Summary

As we continue to navigate this unprecedented time, sales activity has fallen but it has not stopped. As agents we are working differently than we used to, but we are all still working and people are still buying and selling properties in Whistler and Pemberton. Here is a look at April’s market performance versus April 2019 and March 2020 for Whistler:

A few other things to note:

  • Overall average sales prices have increased slightly from $1,296,000 at year end 2019 to $1,791,216 at the end of April
  • The number of listings available for sale remains low compared to the average over the last 12 years
  • Time on market is expected to lengthen and return to historical timelines of 6 to 12 months
  • There continues to be existing demand for our unique and family-style properties
  • There is confidence about the future of Whistler
  • Pricing remains a key factor for success for sellers
